During the 4th edition of the KWU World Championship last weekend several WKO fighters attended – and challenged the top elite of KWU fighters – and in some cases not only challenge, but going all the way and winning the category. In this rapport we will focus on the WKO fighters, and how they came out in the KWU tournament.
Many said that the Hungarian Open was a tournament at such a high level, that it even could be compared to the European Championships. The tournament does not exist today in the same way, but it was arranged several times.In 2009 Hungarian Open was streamed LIVE, and with 149 competitors from 11 countries, (European countries, Russia and Kazakhstan) Four categories men and three women + Kata as well. and World Cup fighters, EC champions and more at the line up – this turn out to be a tournament way beyond the normal. European Championships – Budapest, Hungary 2006, had some of the strongest profiles in the line up. We tough it would be great to look back at the women’s final(s) And in the heavyweight category we had Veronika Sovetes / Hungary vs Gergana Atanasova / Bulgaria. Both some of the very finest and high merited athletes.

Lørdag 26. oktober var det klart for Okawa Cup i Kungälv, Sverige. Marcus Skailand / Egersund Karate Kyokushinkai stillte til start. Marcus som også var i aksjon tidligere i høst/sensommers, med deltagelse i Romania International Open. Som de fleste stevner i Sverige, så er det lagt opp til MYE fighting. Og Sverige har som kjent bra med utøvere, på et godt nivå, og da får man gjort det man kommer for: fightet så mye man orker – med så mange som mulig!
