Deltagere fra Fana KK, Bergen KK og Ringerike KK deltok i årets Scottish Open, og dette er andre året klubbene var på plass.

This years Polish Open Carpathia Cup, gathered 470 athletes from several countries: Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine, Germany, Austria, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Sweden and Poland.

NKKO stilte med sine beste fighters i helgens Diamond Cup i Belgia. Turneringen arrangeres for 6. gang, og det er tredje gang Norge deltar. Turneringen varierer noe fra gang til gang i deltagelse, og for ikke å si nivå, men den kjennetegnes ved at det er mange fra forskjellige organisasjoner som deltar. Koen Spitals Shihan er et kjent navn i Kyokushin Europa, og hans nettverk blir til den Diamond Cup vi kjenner per i dag.
Just a matter of hours, and The Diamond Cup 2016 is a fact. This year tournament seems to have a interesting line up, and a good mix from different organizations and countries. We can see that the absolute elite are resting after the World Tournaments late in 2015, but some profiles are too see.

Tomorrow The Diamond Cup 2016 in Antwerpen, Belgium will be held. Several fighters from different categories are ready, and with some “new” weight categories on top of that – it`s ready for some great fights! We are going to take a look on some of the profiles of the tournament for this year…
Looking back at one of the All Japan Open classics, The 25th All Japan Open , 1993. The line up was packed with fighters at the top of the level, and to day we can say the many of them are legendary. See Kyokushin icons as Kenji Yamaki, Hajime Kazumi, Hiroki Kurosawa, Yasuhiro Shinchinohe, Kunihiro Suzuki, Toru Okamoto fight in this classic All Japan Open, who could known that many of them would be World Champions later!
Store Höga Kyokushin Karateklubb avholder hvert år en stor turnering rett på nyåret. Denne tureningen har vokst hvert år, og er per i dag en av de, om ikke den største i Sverige med over 200 deltagere. Noen av disse er fra Norge, NKO Region Øst. Jubilanten Horten Karateklubb og Færder Karaklubb hadde til sammen hele 15 utøvere i år!
KWU, published the doping results from the World Championship held in Russia October 3-4. 2015. The result is now well known, and discussions around this is going on across the whole Kyokushin world. Six athletes lost their trophy as a result of the doping test. But we also fear that behind this results others also could be using illegal substances. That said, we do have to remember a important thing: an athlete is innocent – until proven otherwise. Many also think to make Kyokushin a modern sport, we will face even bigger challenges in the same direction that this results have pointed out.
