17th Branko Bošnjak Memorial 2012

The best Shinkyokushin nations in Europe were gathered in Croatia this weekend. Branka Memorial is a highly recognized tournament that has built up a reputation sit through nearly 20 years. The tournament is tough, challenging and well organized. Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Lithuania, Poland, Sweden, France, Greece and Croatia had fighters who fought for a place on the podium. This was the seventeenth time the tournament was held, and it was as always well merited practitioners with. Several European champions and winners of other major Open tournament.

Referee for this bout is Kenichi Serizawa. Haga puts a flurry of punches in Saito’s face, prompting the smaller Japanese fighter to return fire in kind. Once Saito has had it with being punched in the face, she shoots in for a takedown. Haga stuffs the takedown and takes Saito’s back, wrapping an arm around her face for the rear-naked choke. Saito defends by tucking her chin.
