With some days left to the closing date of registration, the Kyokushin Open Norway has fighters from Poland, Denmark and Sweden. Some of the best from Norway will also attend… with closing date 1st April, some more fighters will come… will you?!
We will take a look at some of the fighters that is ready…
The 9th French Open seems also this year to be a very strong tournament. Last year we saw several top fighters from the European region enter the tournament – and that was not it, also strong nations from outside the European region entered the tournament. Also this year we can see that counties as Kazakhstan are ready for the tournament, looking back at Diamond Cup, we all know what to expect!

NM i Karate 2016 er historie, og gjennom en lang dag i hallen fikke man mye underholdning for “pengene” Fullkontakt med begrensninger blir der hvor de fleste møtes, det flotte er at selv om det er vesentlig færre utøvere i den rene fullkontakten så holder, så er det mange dyktige i denne klassen.
Fredag 19. februar gikk fristen for påmelingen til årets NM i Karate ut, det 43. i rekken. Nå blir det som regel noen små justeringer ift påmeldte, men grov risset sitter der. I motsetning til de foregående år, er man nå delt opp etter stil igjen, og fullkontakt Karaten vil befinne seg i Hovseter Idrettshall – 12.03.2016. Antall påmelde er som forventet, og det kan man kanskje også si ift hvem som er påmmeldt. I den rene fullkontakten er det noe beskjedent, mens begrensningsklassen samler opp alle som vil gå kamp.

Just a matter of hours, and The Diamond Cup 2016 is a fact. This year tournament seems to have a interesting line up, and a good mix from different organizations and countries. We can see that the absolute elite are resting after the World Tournaments late in 2015, but some profiles are too see.

October the 1st, The 40th British Open will be held in Crawley, UK. The tournament has been organizes since 1976, and “always been there” This has been an arena where everybody meets, and one of the fundamental activity for the IFK to reach out to others in the Kyokushin World. In 40th years the British Open have only been canceled two times, 2005 – 3rd World Championship was held, and in 2007 when the venue was declared unsafe.

KWU, published the doping results from the World Championship held in Russia October 3-4. 2015. The result is now well known, and discussions around this is going on across the whole Kyokushin world. Six athletes lost their trophy as a result of the doping test. But we also fear that behind this results others also could be using illegal substances. That said, we do have to remember a important thing: an athlete is innocent – until proven otherwise. Many also think to make Kyokushin a modern sport, we will face even bigger challenges in the same direction that this results have pointed out.

The 3rd All Japan Fullcontact Karate Championship is held in Osaka, May 21st and 22nd.
