Usually we collect some fights in the end of the year. Fights we like to share, and fights that maybe have a little history behind. With today’s developments, it is no longer the same to find entire fights posted. Now it’s a live stream of 5-10 hours, and / or short reels with knockouts. We would like to share more than we can – but maybe we have someone that you might did not know about.

JKJO 17th All Japan Open – Women heavyweight final. Held in September. The final between Yuina Kobayashi / Sakura Juku and Nanaka Kamomiya. Kobayashi with the pressure on her shoulders, being the reign Champion from last year.

IBK Ludovika World Cup 2025 – held in Hungary. We dive into the final -55kg category. These to athletes attract our attention keeping a certain high level in Kata as well in Kumite! Both have a sold record to show trough 2025. So – here we have them in the final of IBK World Cup: ⇓ Lili Litvák / Hungary vs Norina Csordas / Hungary.

Some of you might remember that we noticed Norina Csordas last year as well, 2nd in World Championship by I.K.O.N. fighting the final with almost 50 kg heavier opponent. And just to mention: she did win the Kata division in IBK World Cup – with Lili Litvák 2nd! – and in total -Lili Litvák did also get the best technic award in this championship.

The final in the 41st All Japan Open Rengokai – Rinka Maegawa (Seido Kaikan) vs Akari Fujiwara (Kyokushin Okinawa). In this case, Maegawa was the reign champion. All Japan Open was a qualifying to the World Championship held in November. In addition, in that tournament, Akira Fujiwara became the runner up.

Anna Cheremiskina (Moldova) – Jázmin Halász (Hungary, aka) IKO1. The 22nd (Dec.) European Open Karate Championship. Last year became Anna Cheremiskina middleweight champion, this year Jázmin Halász made the same achievement – so when the meet each other in the final in the Open Weight EC, the expectation was good. Jázmin Halász was the favourite, being the reign EC Open-weight champion – with a “best fighter” award in addition.

The Batumi Open GP WKO held in Georgia, October was a highly interesting tournament. Many of the top European was there, facing the top fighters from Kazakhstan. In a very strong Open-weight category, we found the final interesting. Marija Sekunda / Lithuania vs Alina Ossipenko / Kazakhstan. This was a rematch from 2024, when Alina Ossipenko took out Sekunda with body punch.

2nd. AUSTRIAN K.O.CUP 2025 IFK held in November. The tournament fundamental seems solid, can offer A and B categories in relation to experience. We goes for the final in the women’s division cat. A -65kg. Aurelia Bolin / Sweden vs Réka Kerekes / Hungary. Bolin, a rising star this season – EC U21 champion, British Open winner. However, facing Kerekes, well they fought last year in the same tournament in the final – Kerekes pulling out the victory. Kerekes also 3rd in the IFK World Championship.

7th IFK World Championships in May. Again, we take the final, +65kg category. Angela Felber Switzerland had a 3rd place from last IFK World Championship, and at this time, she was qualified to the WFKO (ending 3rd. EFKO 2024)

Katarzyna Jaśkowska / Poland, on her side manage to reach 3rd in the EC EKO in April – in other world, both showing strong results with earlier achievements at the same level. Goods results one time is one thing, good results over time – that’s something!

The final in WFKO World Championship in the heaviest category is the next stop. This category was packet with champions, strong fighters from all over the world. In addition, we must remember to participate in WFKO tournament you have to qualify. 18 fighters and now five of them are World Champions / World Cup winners. Photo from Algimantas Barzdžius

Brigita Gustaitytė vs Mihiro Suzuki – two of the absolute best fighter of the world met in this final – a re-match from 2024 where the also fought in a final: Champions of the Champions. Brigita took the EC EKO title this year as well; Suzuki captured the 57th All Japan Open WKO. Both very heavy championship to win.

IKO 57th All Japan Open held late December. The women’s category had twenty fighters in the line-up. Minami Kojyo fought Morioka Yumi, Aka,(115) for the 3rd. place. Minami Kojyo is the reign World Champion middleweight – and would be the favorite, as Morioka Yumi “only” made it to 4th I the same tournament – but in the light weight.

Oliwia Kurzątkowska / Poland has been highly active this year, and that on the highest level. 3rd in the WKO EKO EC.Ended 7 at the WFKO World Championship later on. 2nd in WKB EC. Finish the year with two more World championships.

1st in the KWF and WKB World Championship – will we never know since the championship became a organizational disaster and was thus never completed. But some good fights was done. Oliwia Kurzątkowska meet Stefania Gklara / Greece – both very good kickers – and not afraid too improvise. Technical variety mixed with good strength and pace makes their matches very enjoyable to follow.

WKO 57th All Japan Open gathered 36 fighters, with athletes from Kazakhstan and AIN, and of course the elite of fighters from Japan. 3rd place was to be decided in a fight between Yuna Mokudai (Aka) vs Ramu Amikawa. Amikawa did win the 1st. WFKO -65kg category earlier this year, facing – you guessed it: Mokudai in that final as well.
