This time we will take a look back at the European Championship in open weight, held in Oradea, Romania 2013. The European Championship in open-weight has always been a very interesting tournament. Not only because it is a EC with a very high level,but often fighters that not fight each other at the regular basis now comes up against each others. The line up in front of this EC was very strong and everyone speculate early on who would be the winner, and who could face who.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2013 had a very tight schedule when it comes down the big events. The annual European Championship in weight categories was held – as usual, but we have to remember that the World Championship in weight categories was also held this year – in Lithuania,Vilnius. Some of the top fighters, and even winners from the World championship retired, Orest Proc (winner middleweight) Margarita \u010ciuplyt\u0117 (winner heavyweight) Lukas Kubilius (not retired, runner up heavyweight) Valeri Dimitrov (never retires, winner heavyweight) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It would be fair to say, not every organization could have so many of their top fighters out from the tournament – and still present a tournament at the actual level that the EC in Romania was. Looking at the line up, no doubt that the sparks would fly! A little video from the tameshiwari also, we think maybe this was the last time breaking was into the tournament setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
